Future perfect (futuro anteriore)
How to form the future perfect?

- regularly:
| PARLARE | VENDERE | PARTIRE |

b. irregular past participle
examples: rompere – rotto, nascere – nato, essere – stato, etc.
When to use the future perfect?
The futuro anteriore is used similarly as the future perfect in English (I will have finished)
- it indicates a future action (or state) completed before another future action (or state)
examples:
| Avremo vissuto 10 anni in Italia nel 2024. | In 2024 we will have lived 10 years in Italy. | 
| Quando sarò arrivato, ti telefonerò. | When I have arrived, I will call you.* | 
*after time cojunctions (quando, dopo che, appena, etc.) future tense is used in Italian
- special use: it expresses uncertainty in the past
examples:

| Avranno perso il treno. | They might have missed the train. |
